HUNG JURY

When a jury is deadlocked and unable to arrive at a unanimous verdict or other required level of unanimity for a verdict. A hopelessly split jury which is unable to reach a unanimous verdict regarding a decision. A jury so irreconcilably divided in opinion that they cannot agree upon any verdict.
