GOLDEN RULE ARGUMENT

TheLaw.com Law Dictionary & Black's Law Dictionary 2nd Ed.

An argument used by plaintiff’s attorneys in personal injury cases, who ask jurors to consider damages for an injured client as if the juror himself or herself was so injured, e.g. disfigured just like the plaintiff.
