THIRD PARTY BENEFICIARY

A person or party that was not a party to a contract but possesses legal rights to enforce the contract (as a non-party) since it is the specific, intended beneficiary of the contract. For example, when one son is purchasing a product for the benefit of his father. The father may be able to sue as a specific beneficiary, should the seller breach the contract.
