The Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act of 1970. The Act provides for extended criminal penalties as well as civil causes of action for the commission of certain acts typically a part of organized crime (illegal gambling, bribery, money laundering, kidnapping) which is performed as a part of an ongoing criminal enterprise.
