REQUEST FOR PRODUCTION

Typically referred to as a request for production of documents, in the pretrial discovery phase, it is a motion to compel the opposing party to provide the list of and all related documents requested by the movant. If the motion is granted, the respondent must provide all the documents, subject to those documents that may be privileged and any redactions that may be appropritae.
