ORAL CONTRACT

A contract that is made pursuant to a conversation and not written. A verbal contract. Such a contract is valid and enforceable provided that the terms can be proven and that it meets the general requirements in order to form a contract and does not violate statutes that require certain agreements be made in writing (the Statute of Frauds.)
