NONIMMIGRANT VISA

A United States visa that allows a person to temporarily enter the U.S. for a limited purpose and which as specific privileges such as the right to study in a university or to work. Student visas are usually know as F-1 or M-1 visas, investors are E-2. Time period for stay varies, as an investor may stay for years but a tourist usually has no more than six months.
