MONTH TO MONTH TENANCY

A rental agreement providing for a one month tenancy automatically renewing at the end of the month unless either the landlord or tenant terminates the agreement by providing prior written notice, which usually requires 30 days notice (and in some cases, 30 days prior to the beginning of the one month tenancy.) In most states, this type of tenancy can be terminated for any reason. It is beneficial for landlords so that they can remove potentially troublesome tenants. It provides a tenant who is seeking to move with flexibility.
