JONES ACT

TheLaw.com Law Dictionary & Black's Law Dictionary 2nd Ed.

Law created in American in 1920 which enabled sailors, or their families through their estate, to sue an employer for death or injury that occurred on the sea that resulted from the negligence of the employer or the employer’s employees.
