EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY COMMISSION

Commonly referred to as the EEOC, the federal agency which enforces law prohibiting employment discrimination and handles complaints of workplace discrimination, created pursuant to the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and administrates and regulates issues of discrimination in the workplace.
