CHANGE OF CIRCUMSTANCES

Usually referring to family court, a valid reason for modification of an existing order due to changes in circumstances, financial or personal. An existing order for child support or alimony may be changed due to one party’s loss of income. A modification of a custody order may be the result of the incarceration of one party or other lifestyle concerns.
