A job or employment engagement where both parties, the employer and employee, can opt to terminate the work agreement at any time and with or without cause. While termination or resignation may be at will, it is still against the law to terminate an employee for reasons of federally prohibited discrimination, such as terminating an employee based upon age, race or religion.
