ARGUMENTUM AB AUCTORITATE FORTISSIMUM EST IN LEGE

Legal maxim and Latin for an argument drawn from authority is the strongest in law. An argument whose weight comes from established authority that is recognized is the strongest argument (and certain weaker than that not supported by any or inferior authority.)
