ADMINSTRATOR PENDENTE LITE

The administrator pending litigation or the special administrator; Refers to a person appointed by a probate court to begin the probate process in a lawsuit challenging a will. The administrator pendente lite takes inventory of the assets of the estate and manages the general business of the estate until the dispute has been resolved.
