CRAFT

1. A general term, now commonly applied to all kinds of sailing vessels, , though formerly restricted to the smaller vessels. The Wenonah, 21 Grat (Va.) 697; Reed v. Ingham, 3 El. & B. 898. 2. A trade or occupation of the sort requiring skill and training, particularly manual skill combined with a knowledge of the principles of the art; also the body of persons pursuing such a calling; a guild. Gan ahl v. Shore, 24 Ga. 23. 3. Guile, artful cunning, trickiness. Not a legal term in this sense, though often used in connection with such terms as “fraud” and “artifice.”
