LEGALLY INCAPACITATED

An impairment or mental or physical deficiency which makes one unable to participate in court proceedings or to form a legally binding agreement. A person who lacks capacity does not possess the ability to make rational decisions. The condition may be temporary or permanent. Also see legally competent.
