AMENDED PLEADING

A pleading that corrects or expands upon an earlier pleading. See also amended complaint, where a pleading by a party is altered, which may be as a result of correcting erroneous assumptions, typographical errors, discovery of new facts or parties. Amendment may require the permission of the court. May require permission of the court.
