After a court decides the true owner of a parcel of land, this writ is an equitable remedy that transfers title to the owner. The name of a writ which issues from the court of chancery, in aid of the execution of a judgment at law, to put the complainant into possession of lands adjudged to him, when the sheriff cannot execute the judgment.
