SPECIFIC INTENT

The requisite intent to perform the physical act that is required by the crime, in other words, the person intended to commit the crime which he or she is charged. For example, if a person intended to permanently deprive another person of property, that person can be guilty of larceny. If the intent was temporary, that would not be the specific intent required to convict the person of larceny.
