(A) A crime of soliciting (encouraging or inducing) another person to engage in the commission of a crime. (B) A crime: The solicitation of a prostitute, to engage in a sexual act in exchange for money. (3) Making requests of other people for them to do something, e.g. donate money to a charity or become a member of a club.
