RESTRAINING ORDER

TheLaw.com Law Dictionary & Black's Law Dictionary 2nd Ed.

A court order that directs a person not to do something, for example, spousal abuse and stalking cases where a person is directed not be within 150 feet of another person he has threatened through a restraining order. An order in the nature of an Injunction. See ORDER.
