QUIET (ADJ.)

adj. Unmolested; tranquil; free from interference or disturbance. Quiet enjoyment. A covenant, usually inserted in leases and conveyances on the part of the grantor, promising that the tenant or grantee shall enjoy the possession of the premises in peace and without disturbance, is called a covenant “for quiet enjoyment”.
