PROMISSORY ESTOPPEL

If a promise is made by one party against another that the party will not enforce part of or the whole contract against another, if the relieved party relies upon the promise, the promising party cannot bring subsequent proceedings to enforce the contract, in whole or in part. See also estoppel.
