PRAEDICTUS

Latin: Aforesaid. Hob. 6. Of the three words, “idem,” “praedictus,” and “praefatusS’ “idem” was most usually applied, to plaintiffs or demandants; “praedictus,” to defendants or tenants, places, towns, or lands; and “prwfatus” to persons named, not being ocfora or parties. Townsh. PI. 15. These words may all be rendered in English by “said” or “aforesaid.”
