A motion made requesting that the court dismiss the entire case or to dismiss one or more of the plaintiff’s or prosecutor’s claims. This may be made after a significant procedural error made by a prosecutor or plaintiff or after all the evidence has been presented by the prosecution or plaintiff and, even if taken as true, the prosecution or plaintiff does not have sufficient evidence to win their case.
