LIFE-PROLONGING PROCEDURES

Medical procedures (also known as life sustaining procedures) that are used to prolong or extend the life of a person who is gravely or terminally ill and/or comatose. Common procedures include CPR (cardio-pulmonary resuscitation), use of a respirator, infusion of blood, surgery, dialysis, antibiotics and other measures.
