LANDING

A place on a river or other navigable water for lading and unlading goods, or for the reception and delivery of passengers; the terminus of a road on a river or other navigable water, for the use of travelers, and the loading and unloading of goods. State v. Randall, 1 Strob. (S. C.) Ill, 47 Am. Dec. 548.
A place for loading or unloading boats, but not a harbor for them. Hays v. Briggs, 74 Pa. 373.
