HOMOLOGATION

In the civil law.
Approbation; confirmation by a court of justice; a judgment which orders the execution of some act Merl. Repert. The term is also used In Louisiana. Hecker v. Brown, 104 La. 524, 29 South. 232. In English law. An estoppel in pais. L. R. 3 App. Gas. 1026. In Scotch law. An act by which a person approves of a deed, the effect of which is to render that deed, though in itself defective, binding upon the person by whom it is homologated. Bell.
