FOR SALE BY OWNER (FSBO)

TheLaw.com Law Dictionary & Black's Law Dictionary 2nd Ed.

A term that denotes the sale of a home by the owner without the use of a real estate broker. It is usually done to save commission expenses the owner would pay the broker but the owner must invest its time in marketing the property and also learning the local real estate laws.
