A weapon, usually deadly, which is concealed or hidden and kept within the reach or control of the holder (e.g. in a vest pocket.) A permit is required to carry a concealed weapon and are usually reserved only for law enforcement. Private citizens may apply for a permit but usually must show a need and must also have a clean criminal record.
