A collection of people with the same injury or legal claim which are joined together as one class in order to sue a common defendant, usually a company or organization, in a single action. This consolidation of a case with practically the same issues and defendant makes more efficient use of the legal system. Typically cases will include discrimination by a company or organization or a product liability claim against a manufacturer.
