The conduct of an agent which would make it appear that the agent has the authorization of the principal but does not, in fact, have the authorization to perform the act. If it is reasonable to expect that the agent had authority to perform the act the law usually finds that the apparent authority is sufficient to complete the act as if there was actual authority.
