In order to terminate a month to month tenancy, a minimum of 30 days notice to terminate the agreement is required to be provided to the tenant or to the landlord by the terminating party. The landlord’s notice may be required to contain additional information as required by state (such as the failure to vacate after the term may result in a lawsuit.)
